We offer a wide variety of instrumental lessons here at 89th Key, as well as our unique theory program! Our classes are designed to provide a full musical education for students of all ages, wherever your starting point may be.
Lessons at 89th Key are all about the students. Our goal is to facilitate an environment where they can learn and grow at their own pace, without sacrificing the fun!

Group Theory Classes
One of the very unique aspects of our studio is our group theory classes! Music theory is all about learning how to understand and communicate the language of music.
These are especially designed for our younger students to create a strong foundation in their music knowledge, while also giving them a social aspect that isn’t always found in music learning environments. Classes are scheduled in very small groups with students of similar ages and levels for a more focused and individualized experience.
Talent Riots
Instead of boring, traditional recitals, we host Talent Riots all throughout the year! These extravagant, themed events give students an opportunity to showcase what they are learning and help them get used to performing in front of an audience, without the pressures normally associated with a recital!
Prize Closet
After every lesson, students will receive Composer Bucks, depending on how well they did in their lesson, how much they practiced, or any other specific goals set with their teacher that week. Students can save and spend towards items in the prize closet, studio merch, and a select menu of food items and beverages at Café Fermata!
